Sparse and unadorned, the purpose of this utilitarian framing system is to focus ones attention towards the artwork, not the frame. A friction fit system of kerf and diagonal wing bracing along the inside perimeter allows for artwork to be installed and removed with ease, and without the need of hardware. The frames can be cut from continuously milled lumber and assembled to lengths up to 36”. Keeping with the utilitarian ethos, the common pine is finished with a simple rub on wax.
